Palm Fronds Silhouette is a mask that comes in 3 sizes -- 3 art-making tools that bring to life lots of choices and potential combinations  ....

Palm Fronds Silhouette Small (6" x 6")

Palm Fronds Silhouette Mini (4" x 4")

Palm Fronds Silhouette Large (9" x 12")

An artist can never have too many choices in art-making tools; the more tools on hand, the more explorations and experiments will come to mind, as the artist asks,  "What would happen IF ...?"

Above:
Palm Fronds Silhouette Small (6" x 6") was used as a final step in developing this abstract painting.  I used acrylic paints and a black water-soluble crayon.

Above:  This mixed-media collage was developed using Palm Fronds Silhouette Small (6" x 6") for the white-on-white background prints.  Palm Fronds Silhouette Large (9" x 12") was used in printing the near-black collage pieces.  These pieces were cut out from the print below (made with acrylic paints and water-soluble pencils)--

The mixed-media collage directly below was created on a background previously printed with Palm Fronds Silhouette Large (9" x 12").  After that print had dried, I went over it with a translucent layer of pale green acrylic paint.  The last step was to add collage pieces that came from previous art projects, including a sheet of black cardstock that had been printed with Palm Fronds Silhouette Large (9" x 12") ....

.... and that print on black cardstock looked like this, before being cut into pieces:

Above:  Printed with Palm Fronds Silhouette Large (9" x 12") on black cardstock that had been stained randomly with purple acrylic paint, before being over-printed.

Above: Palm Fronds Silhouette Mini (4" x 4") and
Palm Fronds Silhouette Small (6" x 6") were used as a final step in developing this abstract painting.  I used acrylic paints and a black water-soluble crayon.

Below:  a collage created with stained stencils; 6" x 6" Kaleid and
Palm Fronds Silhouette Mini (4" x 4")
