GARDEN MONTAGE Stencil Used on Stretched Canvases

Garden Montage, my newest 9" x 12" stencil, has landed into my hands as I've worked on several 9" x 12" stretched canvases.

Above:  this artwork was created with Garden Montage teamed with inks and high-flow acrylic paints.

Above:  this artwork is collage and acrylic:  Its background was created with Garden Montage and its foreground is part of the stencil itself, stained with acrylic paints and inks.

The next two, below, are the same canvas; its white background was made with Garden Montage (9" x 12") stencil and the purple foreground was made with Queen Anne's Lace (9" x 12") stencil.

Next, I painted over the purple print with a layer of zinc white acrylic --which, being translucent -- allowed the combined background layers to remain faintly visible.  After the white layer of paint dried, I again used Queen Anne's Lace , this time with acrylic paint (shown below.)

Today's final photo shows a canvas that was created in somewhat similar ways to two canvases shown above.

This time, the background was created with Garden Montage stencil; then, after it had been coated with a layer of zinc white acrylic paint, I collaged onto the surface the stencil itself -- after it's been stained with acrylic inks and high-flow acrylic paints ....
